Privacy Policy
You tell us true stories about people you love. We treat that with the seriousness it deserves. Effective July 5, 2026.
What we collect
For a song order: your email (for delivery), your intake answers and craft-session messages (the story, the details, the lyrics), and payment confirmation from Stripe (we never receive your card number). For free tools: assay answers are stored anonymously under a random token – no name, no email, no account. Field Note inputs are processed to generate your note and are not stored with any identity. Site-wide: ordinary server logs and a small internal counter of events like "song purchased" – no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts, no cookies beyond what the site needs to function.
How stories are protected
Intake answers and craft transcripts are encrypted at rest on our server. They are used for exactly one purpose: making and supporting your order. The people who can decrypt them are the people making your song, which is a very short list.
What gets deleted, and when
Craft-session transcripts are purged after 30 days. Abandoned, unpaid drafts are purged after 7 days. Final lyrics and delivered audio are kept so your links keep working (at least 12 months, in practice longer). You can request deletion of everything tied to your order at any time via the contact page – a person will confirm when it's done.
Who we share data with
Three processors, each getting the minimum: Stripe (payment), our AI provider (the text needed to write lyrics and screen content – used per their API terms, not for training on our account settings), and our music tooling (the approved lyrics, to produce audio). We sell nothing to anyone. There is no advertising pipeline to feed.
The people in your songs
Songs are about real people who usually haven't visited this site. We protect them structurally: no reveal page carries buyer details or prices; our content screens exist to keep songs celebratory; and if a song's subject wants a reveal page removed, we honor that – see the takedown section of the terms.
Transactional only: order confirmation, delivery, a reminder if takes go unselected, and replies you asked for. No newsletter exists at present; if one ever does, it will be opt-in and unrelated to your order data.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, and complaint – exercised by emailing via the contact page. We respond as humans, promptly, regardless of which jurisdiction's acronym applies to you.
